Exploring the potential of AI on my design processes and methods

I say, a pressure drop, oh pressure
Oh yeah, pressure drop, a drop on you
I say, and when it drops, oh, you gonna feel it
Know what you were doing’s wrong

I realised, perhaps a little late that AI has completely over taken the UX landscape and there is probably some version of the hero’s journey that explains this. Denial, realisation, discovery, redemption. So these are my random thoughts and explorations.
I also appreciate that the technology is developing faster than most can keep up with, so these notes will be out of date as soon as I have written them. But if you can describe something you can understand it.
Understanding AI feels like drinking from a firehouse. There are too many directions, prioritising what to focus on seems impossible, it’s constantly shifting, and there is too much change being thrust on you. Operating under this level of continuous stress is difficult and I want to turn the pressure down.
So what do I need to do to?
Stop just reacting to the latest thing. Lovable has just updated? Chat GPT 5 is going to change everything? I intend to proactively plan and then problem solve. This will be some self initiated projects to help me learn and turn down the pressure so I can see how best to learn by designing with these new set of tools.
I will try my hardest to avoid any references to Skynet the fictional artificial neural network-based conscious group mind and artificial general super intelligence system from Terminator.
