As a web designer I often wonder what other web designers get up to all day. So I thought the least I could do is share a day with my colleagues. To the best of my knowledge there are just under ten of us at IPC. 8.10 Train to London Bridge

9.00 start the day with some email and blog tidying

10.00 chat with Noami and Mark about WOTV classifieds

11 have a meeting with James Lewis and Louis Abel of Thoughtworks, Andy and Kevin too, to talk agile.

12.40 Back to Whats on TV designs

2.00 cup of tea and treat myself to an ice cream and spend the afternoon designing Whats on TV content.

3.30 catch up with Colin and Pat to discuss some of the Whats on TV designs

6.24 train home, phew.

So I make that I spent about an hour at the start of the day with the npd blog and emails, about two and a half hours attending meetings, about three and a quarter hours designing stuff. That leaves quarter of an hour or so when I must have been munching lunch at my desk.

So I seem to spend more time designing than in meetings which is as I’d expect. But I normally only have two meetings a day. Talking with an outside agency was a change. ThoughtWorks had a lot of great stuff to say about agile development, and I’m a big fan of those working practises.
