MVP discovery and development for a new way for property agents to make FX payments.

I joined Currencies Direct to make UX more systematic. As the company became Redpin I worked on new products for payments and embedded software for property.
Currencies Direct is a well established non-bank currency exchange service. New leadership renamed the company Redpin, and launched a new strategy to offer payments and embedded software for the residential property market.
In a small team of five designers I was asked to champion and improve the UX practise in the team.
I focused on establishing human-centered and service design techniques into the product delivery process. Hired a dedicated customer research lead, encouraged competitor analysis, and mapped customer journeys and service blueprints.
The product team was always developing and testing MVPs and I created the initial concepts and wireframes to test and validate before the product designers iterated the final designs.
As Redpin the company pivoted from a broad consumer and B2B FX sales based offering to a focus on property transactions, with a digital product based offering. This led to the development of the PropertyPay MVP(s) for which I was the UX lead.
Sadly the new leadership eventually replaced most of the Currencies Direct product team and I was made redundant.

When Currencies Direct launched its new multi-currency card in late 2023, Hardik Shah (our Head of Product) asked that we all sign up and order one to try it out as part of the launch and give our feedback. I did mine in the style of a photo comic.
